Using e-Readers:
A Hands-On How-To Workshop

Are you new to using e-books and e-readers? Do you have an e-reader (or did you get one for Christmas?), but wonder how to get e-books from the library’s collections? Join Chris Koth and Bowen Library staff on Friday January 20th, 2012 at 1:30 – 2:30 p.m. or on Saturday January 21st, 2012 at 10:30 – 11:30 a.m. at Bowen Island Community School for an instructional session on downloading and using e-books.

Chris comes from North Van City Library and will bring their “petting zoo” of different e-readers for participants to see and try out. He will also demonstrate the process of downloading e-books onto your device from Bowen Library’s collection of e-books at Library To Go.

The workshops can accommodate 25 participants and are free, but advance registration is required. Contact Bowen Library to register for either session by email at info@bowenlibrary.ca , by phone at 604-947-9788, or in person at the library. We require a minimum of 10 people for the workshop to run, so pick your preferred date early.

Registration for these workshops closes on January 15, 2012. Workshops are provided by Bowen Library and supported by BICS Community Learning.
